FROM THE RECTOR
The Day of Pentecost marks the "birthday of the Church," when the Holy Spirit descended in tongues of flame alighting on the apostles and equipping them for their mission to the world. It is one of the principal holy days of the Church Calendar, a time of great rejoicing, and an opportunity to pray for the renewal of the Holy Spirit's gifts in our own lives. -- Fr. John D. Alexander
