PARISH NOTES
Sunday 21 May 2017
Saint Paul Preaching in Athens Stained Glass, Cathedral of St. Giles, Edinburgh |
FROM THE RECTOR
The Sunday before Ascension Day is traditionally kept as Rogation Sunday: a time of thanksgiving for God's Creation, recollection of our dependence on the cycles of the natural world, and prayer for rains and fruitful seasons. We take this opportunity to recommit ourselves to faithful stewardship of the Earth and all the natural goods that God has entrusted into our care. -- Fr. John D. Alexander
