FROM THE RECTOR

The Solemn Mass of the Resurrection on Easter Day celebrates the single event that accounts for the existence of the Christian Church and possibility of Christian faith. Jesus rising from the dead is God's promise of our own Resurrection. Christians believe, then, that death is not the end but the gateway to new and everlasting life. That promise, that hope, is the grounds for our celebration at Easter and for our continuing effort to live the Christian life in this world in witness to the coming of God's Kingdom. -- Fr. John D. Alexander
