PARISH NOTES
Sunday 11 June 2017

Albrecht Durer, Throne of Mercy (Detail), 1511

FROM THE RECTOR

The biblically-based doctrine of the Holy Trinity teaches that the mystery at the heart of reality is communion. The three divine Persons of the Godhead each have a distinctive identity yet are united in relations of mutual love; and this love sets the pattern for all creation. As human beings we each have our distinct identity as individuals yet find the fulfillment of our being in loving relations of mutuality and reciprocity. In other words, we are made for life in community, precisely because we have been created in the image of the Triune God. Come join in the Church's celebration of this great mystery on Trinity Sunday. -- Fr. John D. Alexander
